Good Vibes Granville is set to transform South Street, Granville into a vibrant and interactive hub, showcasing the diverse food and dynamic music and art scene starting on 16 May until 22 May 2022.

This first of its kind event in Cumberland City will see the closure of part of Granville’s main street, inviting people to wander through the strip to meet others, take in the food, music and art culture, and enjoy the public space together.

The jam-packed event will feature a range of family friendly activities and activations split across day and night sessions over one massive week.

Families and friends will be able to enjoy live music with staged live performances from emerging Western Sydney artists, musicians and DJ’s.

There will be something for all ages with visual installations, projectors and neon light displays, with a giant outdoor Jenga set, photo booth, Bush School sessions and hands on creative activities which will be sure to keep the little ones entertained.

The event will also highlight Granville’s unique food culture, as visitors stroll through the main street to enjoy the diverse charcoal chicken eateries, discover the range of pubs, South East Asian cuisines and Middle Eastern sweets.

Mayor Lisa Lake said Council is very excited to host this first of its kind event.

“This is a great opportunity for the community and visitors to explore Granville’s culture, wander through the main street and enjoy the public space in a family friendly atmosphere.” She said.

“The event will showcase the best of what Granville has to offer, and also presents local artists with live music performances and art installations that tell a very unique story.”

The inaugural Good Vibes Granville event will run from Monday 16 May to Sunday 22 May, with day sessions from 10am to 12 midday, and night sessions from 5pm to 10pm along South Street, Granville.

All are invited to come along and enjoy the festive, family-friendly atmosphere.

This event is proudly funded by the NSW Government’s The Festival Of Place Open Streets program.
