An exciting new Summer Reading Club being held over all the Libraries in the Cumberland Council area gives those between the ages of 5 to 18 the chance to win some great prizes while reading and competing in various other competitions. Those who sign up to the club will receive:

• A starter’s pack containing a bookmark, stickers and more
• A lucky dip prize for every 5 visits to the Library

Every time a book is borrowed, the club member will receive a stamp on their bookmark. Every 5 stamps results in a lucky dip. Every 10 stamps results in an entry into the major prize draw, so the more stamps the more chances of winning!

Other competitions include a Book Review Comp, where members review the books they have read as part of the club, and an Art Competition, where members have a go at drawing their favourite hero or villain! Both these competitions will be run at all 8 library service points, and gives members even more chances at winning a prize.
