Administrator of Cumberland Council Viv May again reminded residents enrolled to vote in the Cumberland Council Local Government Area, including the former Auburn Council area, the former Holroyd Council area and the former Woodville Ward of Parramatta Council, are not required to vote at NSW local council elections scheduled for 10 September.

“Elections for the New Cumberland Council will be held in September 2017,” Mr May said.

“If you are in doubt about your voting status please contact the State Electoral Commission who can advise where you are enrolled and whether you need to vote in the elections this year or in September 2017.

“It is important that residents consider this issue before the election held on September 10 to avoid confusion on the day,” Mr May said.
