Join author David Brown at Merrylands Library on Thursday, 22 June at 6pm, as he shares insights into his latest book, "As Cedars Grow."
About David Brown
David Brown is the eldest grandson of Anthony and Alma Baynie.
He co-wrote the book with his lifelong friend, Richard Broome, to document his grandparents’ resourcefulness and to show how, through sheer hard work and determination by all members of the Baynie family, not only did they prosper, but they were also responsible for the migration of thousands of Maronite Catholics from Bane to Australia.
He also shares with his readers colourful, heartfelt and, at times, funny memories that demonstrate the exceptional altruistic works of the Baynie family and in particular, his mother Mary Brown.
