Acknowledgement of Country with Yudaki Performance and Clap-Stick Workshop

Gumaroy Newman Gumaroy, a radiant spirit, embodies the rich cultural heritage of the Gamilaroi and Wakka Wakka nations of Northern NSW. A master of the yidaki (didgeridoo), he weaves traditional songs, poetry, and the art of storytelling into his performances. Beyond being a captivating artist, Gumaroy stands as a cultural educator, sharing the essence of his indigenous roots.

Vietnamese Drumming Workshop

THQ is a Lion dance and Martial arts Academy based in Cabramatta. They also specialised in Vietnamese drumming, particularly in the context of Lion Dance performances, holding significant cultural importance in Vietnamese traditions.

Are bookings essential

We do strongly encourage you to book, however walk-ins are welcome. We aim to have enough instruments for everyone to have a turn. HOWEVER, please note in the event of bad weather, without a registration we will be unable to advise you of cancellation and/or changes.

What age do I have to be to participate?

We do not have any age requirements or limits; however, children MUST be accompanies by an adult for supervision and assistance.

What happens if it rains, thunderstorms, and or is poor weather?

In the event of inclement weather for our outdoor event, we will make every effort to move indoors if feasible or reschedule the event. It's crucial that you register so that you can receive notifications about any changes. We'll strive to inform registered participants as promptly as we can.
