Event details

Cumberland City Council and Symphony For Life have partnered to present an exclusive program that allows you to master a musical instrument and explore the art of music.

Thank you for your interest in the Cumberland City Council and Symphony for Life Music program.

Our program aims to provide children with the opportunity to learn musical instruments and create music through engaging community-based initiatives.

This program is generously supported by donors through Symphony for Life.

To ensure that our students meet the participation criteria, we invite you to attend an interview on Monday 6 May at Toongabbie Community Centre.

During the interview, you will have the chance to express your interest and complete an application form.

Applications will be assessed by Symphony for Life, and qualifying students will be invited to participate in the program, which equates to a $2500 scholarship.

Students who qualify are expected to adhere to the tuition schedule, which includes a weekly lesson at Toongabbie Community Centre, and additionally commit to undertake daily practice at home. Instruments such as violin, cello, viola, or double bass will be provided free of charge.
